A warm welcome...

I'm a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, with a Master of Social Work and over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families across the Guelph and Wellington region.

Throughout my career I have walked alongside people navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, life transitions, school challenges, and relationship concerns, and those quiet moments where something just doesn't feel quite right, but it's hard to name what it is, and why they feel that way.

My approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and deep respect. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can slow down, feel truly understood, and make sense of their experiences at their own pace. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, you don't have to navigate this alone.

My Story

My work as a Registered Social Worker has been shaped not only by lived experience but also with over 15 years of supporting children, teens, adults, and families across school, community, and clinical settings in the Guelph and Wellington region. Throughout my career, I have worked alongside individuals navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, trauma, and complex emotional experiences, while also supporting families and caregivers seeking guidance and connection.

In addition to my clinical work, I have led a team of Registered Social Workers within a school board setting in Ontario, supporting student mental health and wellbeing at both the individual and system level. This leadership experience has deepened my understanding of complex mental health needs and strengthened my ability to provide thoughtful, collaborative, and responsive care.

I also have experience supporting adults in high-stress professions, including first responders, health care and educators as well as individuals working in demanding roles. I understand the impact that chronic stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, and experiences related to trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma, can have on individuals and their families. My approach is grounded in creating a calm, respectful space where individuals can process experiences, strengthen resilience, and move forward in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable for them.

Across all of my work, I value relationships, trust, and creating a space where individuals feel supported at their own pace. Whether you are seeking support for your child, navigating a demanding career, or looking for space to focus on your own wellbeing, my goal is to walk alongside you with warmth, care, and understanding.

About Me

I’m a South Asian, racialized woman, a mother to two incredible little humans, and someone who values connection, community, and meaningful relationships. My personal and professional experiences shape the way I show up in my work with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s story and their unique experience.

Outside of my work in therapy, you will often find me spending time with my family and loved ones, enjoying a really good cup of coffee, or exploring creativity through pottery, especially throwing on the wheel. I was introduced to pottery through City of Guelph classes a few years ago, and it quickly became very meaningful for me. It offered me a beautiful opportunity to step out of my head and into my hands, connecting more deeply with body based, bottom up approaches that support nervous system regulation.

As I experienced the grounding and restorative nature of working with clay, I began to notice how powerful this creative approach could be for others, particularly those who tend to live in their thoughts and may benefit from more experiential, body based ways of processing and healing. What began as a personal practice soon became something more. Since then, pottery has not only been a form of healing and reflection for me, but it has also inspired me to pursue a certification in Clay Field Therapy, a sensorimotor art therapy and body-based approach to healing and wellbeing.

Outside of that, I am also passionate about supporting community wellbeing and have been serving as a Board Member with the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition over the last several years. Being involved in community initiatives is important to me, and I value contributing to spaces that foster connection, belonging, and support.

My Areas of Focus

Certified Clay Field Therapist

Clay Field Therapy is a body-based, sensorimotor art therapy approach that supports healing through working with the hands and clay. It is particularly effective for people who find it difficult to access or express experiences through words alone, including children, individuals who have experienced trauma, and those who feel more at home in experiential rather than talk-based approaches.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is an evidence-informed therapy that helps the brain process difficult or traumatic memories that have become "stuck." I am trained in EMDR and offer this approach to teens and adults working through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and distressing life experiences.

Assessment of Risk to Others, Violence Threat Risk Assessment

I hold specialized training in risk assessment, including assessment of risk to others and violent threat risk assessment, and have led this work across the Guelph, Wellington, and Dufferin communities. This work is conducted within school, organizational, and community contexts. For families whose children/youth have been identified as having elevated risk factors, I can provide therapeutic support aimed at addressing and mitigating those underlying concerns.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is one of the most well-researched approaches in mental health. It supports people in understanding the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and in developing practical strategies for managing anxiety, depression, and other challenges.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy

DBT is a skills-based approach that was originally developed to support people experiencing intense or overwhelming emotions, and has since become one of the most widely used and researched therapies across a broad range of experiences. It focuses on four core areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I draw on DBT skills to support clients who are navigating emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, self-worth challenges, and moments where life feels really hard to manage.
